Alex’s telecommunications career spans work on academic and research projects at the University of Belgrade; ITU-related standards harmonization and national regulatory activities with the Community of Yugoslav PTTs; telecom, regulatory and business consulting; and 20+ years of sales support, network design and consulting, network engineering, business development and product/solution marketing. He has worked at Newbridge Networks, Alcatel, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia covering a wide range of technologies (IP, 4G/LTE, SDN/NFV).
Currently, Alex is a senior product marketing manager in IP/optical networks, Nokia, focused on virtualized routing applications. Alex obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) at the University of Belgrade, Serbia.
To disconnect and recharge, Alex takes long walks with his wife and their 2 whippets (Lokki and Django), attempts to catch up on reading one of the too many books he has “on the go,” and keeps the valves of his tube audio amps warm with music.
